Our historic house, the "Stadtvilla", was built in 1902. We live on the lower floors of the Stadtvilla and your apartment is on the upper floor, which we recently renovated.
Anna-Lena is a professional designer and this space is guaranteed to inspire you! You may recognize some of the furniture and appliances, but you will be amazed to see how they have been incorporated into a creative overall design that is both sophisticated and inviting.
The space
The 70 sq. m (750 sq. ft) unit has 3.5 meter / 11.5 feet high ceilings, full timber floorboards and double windows, all of which are typical architectural characteristics of the turn-of-the-century period when the house was built.
We can accommodate up to 5 people at a time, sleeping in up to 3 different beds: a double bed and a double pull-out couch in the sleeping/living room that can each sleep 2 people, and a "chaise longue" in the kitchen that can comfortably sleep 1 additional person.
The kitchen has everything you need, with a large fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, tea kettle, toaster, wine glasses and seating for up to 6 people.
The bathroom is large, with both a bathtub and shower, and our heating system can accommodate many guests showering one after the other - ideal if your group is planning on attending a wedding or party. We will provide you with both fresh towels and locally-handcrafted shampoo and soap.
If you're planning on working during your stay, we have you covered! We have the fastest available fiberglass Internet connection, and our kitchen area has a large table and sturdy chairs that will allow you to work in comfort for long stretches at a time.

The Stadtvilla is powered by 100% clean electricity, and its heating was recently upgraded to a high-efficiency system with completely renewable inputs (solar heating + wood pellet boiler).
We are centrally located in the Campe neighbourhood, only a 3-minute walk from the Stade main train station and an 8-minute walk from Stade's historic downtown, which is known for its picturesque half-timbered buildings, restaurants, cafés and independent shops.
We're also just 2 minutes down the street from Heyderich - which is in our opinion the best bakery in Stade - and only a few blocks away from the Solemio outdoor pool and our local SUP Club on the Schwinge River.
If you're a cyclist: we are within easy reach of the Altes Land, which is one of Europe's largest apple- and cherry-producing regions, as well as the Kehdinger Land and several sandy beaches along the lower Elbe River: Bassenfleth, Abbenfleth and Krautsand.
Walking: within 8 minutes, you'll reach the start of Stade's old town pedestrian zone, with all the shopping and restaurants Stade is known for.
Train/Bus: we're a 3-minute walk from Stade's main train and bus station, with equal 1-hour travel times to Hamburg central station and Cuxhaven on the North Sea.
Car: we have free, on-street parking directly in front of the house.
Airplane: Hamburg airport is a comfortable 1.5 hour train ride away, with a single transfer at Hamburg central station. If you have a car, it's a 1-hour drive to Hamburg airport, or 1 hour 15 minutes to Bremen airport.
